Hurray, it's finally here, the photovoltaic strategy of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection. In order to even come close to achieving the climate targets, a massive pace in the expansion of renewable capacities is required. For the PV sector, this means in concrete terms: from 7 gigawatts of new capacity in 2022, this must be tripled to 22 gigawatts per year.
The action strategy addresses various levels of action: the concrete expansion on open spaces and roofs, tenant electricity and balcony PV and the connection to the grid, tax issues, domestic production capacities and innovations, skilled workers, acceptance and European framework requirements.
By the summer, the federal government wants to implement the presented strategy with the "Solar Package I".
What does this mean in concrete terms for owners, industry, municipalities and the trades? Will the expansion finally gain momentum and can Germany bring back solar energy and its production?
Discuss the challenges of the solar turnaround with us and stakeholders from business, science, education and the trades at the
