After a successful start in 2022, the hydrogen community will meet again in Oldenburg in September! The hydrogen ramp-up is picking up speed and the need for personal information is very high. beyondgas2023 sets important accents with an excellent congress programme on topics along the H2 value chain and a focused networking fair. Focus topics are: Energy policy, regulation, building the hydrogen economy and 360° view of the development of the H2 market. All stakeholders in the rapidly developing hydrogen market have the opportunity to significantly expand their contact and cooperation network at beyondgas.

H2 Update 2023: Focus on energy policy, regulation and practice

Over two and a half days, congress visitors will gain well-founded insights into important issues for the hydrogen ramp-up and learn about new projects and H2 applications. Minister President Stephan Weil is patron of beyondgas. He will open the industry event on 5.9. together with prominent representatives from the energy industry and this year's partner country Denmark.

The congress programme on the following two days is peppered with numerous other highlights. In keynotes and discussion panels, Kerstin Andreae (BDEW e.V.), Klaus Müller (BNetzA), Dr. Urban Keussen (EWE AG), Dr. Carsten Borchers (E.ON Hydrogen GmbH), Markus Exenberger (H2 Global Foundation) and Dr. Thomas Gößmann (Thyssengas GmbH, FNB e.V.) will provide exciting impulses and expert insights.

Eight break-out sessions will also allow for a technical deep-dive and exchange of experiences on the following central topics: H2 generation, transport & storage, financing & investment, H2 marketing, distribution grid operators, H2 regions, H2 trade and Denmark: Connecting Partners.

European perspective and cooperation: partner country Denmark

The hydrogen ramp-up will not work without international cooperation. That is why the organisers have relied on a partner country concept from the very beginning. This year, Denmark will be involved in the industry meeting with a delegation from the embassy as well as with leading H2 companies, such as Orsted or energinet.dk. This will make beyondgas2023 an important hub for bilateral cooperation between the two partner countries.

Talking and doing: Networking and cooperation fair

The newly established H2 industry event has one primary goal: it brings together the right people to actively shape the energy transition. For this purpose, the focused trade fair offers the appropriate framework. A targeted selection of over twenty partner and exhibitor companies will present projects and products or services for the hydrogen market. Last year it already proved that active matchmaking between participants, exhibition partners, speakers and the partner country led to fruitful contacts and cooperation. True to the motto: "Talk and do".
